(Running Time 29:14, File Size 13mb. Monophonic this time.)
Happy Thanksgiving, by the way.
In this episode, I'll tell you about some of the directors who worked with us on the early episodes of Promised Land. Also, just how do the different directors and assistant directors work together on a show like this? I'll tell you about it.

Memoirs of a Movie Stand-in 007
Download the all-new 7th episode here...
StandinPodcast007.mp3
(Running time: 27:15, file size: 25mb, Stereo sound this time!)
In this episode, I'll tell you about the production schedule. How many days does it take to film an episode? How long does it take after filming before the episode is broadcast? Stuff like that. Also, I have an answer to the oft-asked question: How did you guys do that effect where the angels glowed during the revelation scenes?
Finally, I'll tell you about the set which was created for the interior of the Greene family's Airstream trailer. For you Airstream fans, I'm sorry to tell you that a real Aistream trailer was sacrificed in order to make the interior set. It was torn off its original frame, cut apart and reassembled on a platform in our warehouse studio. We still used a different, intact airstream trailer for any exterior scenes.
These memoirs are still covering the period in the fall of 1996 when I was working on the first season of the Promised Land TV series for the CBS television network.

Running time: 25:38, File Size: 12mb, Monophonic (to conserve bandwidth).
In this episode, I'll tell you about the first episode we shot (The Motel) and the first episode which was broadcast (The Expatriate). Also, the one we shot in between those two (A Leap of Fatih) which wasn't broadcast until weeks after the other two. I'll tell you why those episodes were shown out of order and I'll talk about the places where we actually shot that stuff. In fact, with a little help from the satellite photos at Google Maps, here's a little insight on where some of this stuff actually took place.
The location of the Promised Land office.

The Location of the former "Osmond Studio" where they taped the Donny and Marie Show in the 1970s.
